A few days later, one of their most intense
Training Camp, the practice of the Buffalo Bills to
welcome a chance to practice with others this week. The bill will soon travel
to la trobe, dad. The joint practices, a Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday and
Thursday. followed by the preseason game between teams in Pittsburgh on Saturday. "We will look
forward to in an organization, are a physical team, this is a tough team, a
team that won in the past," Bill coach Doug Marrone said. "I think
we're excited to compete with them." The trip appeared to be a good time
to Buffalo. Buffalo last arrangement
practice Tuesday morning before travel was canceled because of rain. Temper is
heated in the team's practice on Sunday afternoon, days after the second
practice of buffalo in back-to-back preseason on Friday against the Carolina.
Early in the session, as an unusual scene
about 20 players in attack and defense, led by the safety and running back Fred
Jackson Aaron Williams gathered in midfield exchange of words. Both sides are
involved in completely independent exercises. No punches were thrown, but
several players had to be restrained. It was an indication that the grind of
training camp had set in. ''You get tired of looking at the same faces,'' said
Jackson, who considers Williams one of his best friends on the team. ''You're
going up against the same guys and things are going to get a little chippy, a
little chirpy, and that's part of it. That's training camp. That's what
training camp is about. We gnaw that stuff out once we get to the season; we
know we just have to get through everything together and we're going to be who
we have to rely on.'' Jackson, Buffalo's team
leader on offense, has mixed feelings about the trip to Pittsburgh. The 33-year-old running back
recognizes the value in practicing against another team, but isn't looking
forward to the additional increase in intensity at this stage of the preseason.
"No," Jackson
said when asked whether he is looking forward to the trip. "It's just two
days of the game, it will be a game on Wednesday and Thursday, Then on Friday
we take a day off on Saturday, then a game. But this is what it is.
"We have to do so, through it, go
there and every possible use, for the better. "Quarterback EJ Manuel,
grade 2, on the other hand, is to enjoy the opportunity to go against another
team in practice. After a difficult start training camp, Manuel has made great
progress and is eager to test his opposition to different defense skill. He
also look forward to working with Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin connection
again, he knew from his home state of Virginia. "I look forward to working
with Steelers," said Manuel. "Me and coach Tomlin very good friends,
we are from the same place. I saw him come here only a few weeks ago. He told
me that whatever he will give us see we need as offensive. It will be very competitive,
we will try to make it like a game for three days. A day of practice, we will
try to put it as a game."
